I'VE BEEN SEARCHIN'

I was having fun with Google Earth the other day – zooming in on addresses
and locations around the U.S. (If you haven’t played with this free program you
ought to give it a run. Simply type in an address and hold on to your chair as
you go soaring around the earth and zooming in on your selected location.) Anyway, I thought, “Wow! This is such a tremendous tool for finding addresses
and searching locations to get a look-see at the surrounding neighborhood.” If
you use any popular mapping program and Google Earth you are able to get a
pretty good “picture” of any area in which you are interested. A military friend of mine told me that the government’s “All-seeing Eye” is
so powerful that the operator can read the license plate on an automobile. The
layman’s version of Google Earth can’t do that but it surely can see yard and
home features in most of the allowable resolutions. While musing on these human achievements I was reminded that in the “real
world” they pale in comparison to the knowledge and abilities of our Heavenly
Father. Zooming in on locations is a piece of cake to Him. He knows exactly
where we are at all times. Google, or the Government, can’t match His unerring
accuracy. (Jer 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not
see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.)
We can’t hide from God. Anyone who tries is a fool. But, He isn’t limited to
merely knowing our physical location; He also knows our spiritual location. Man can locate your body; God knows your spirit. Man can track your movements; God knows your heart. Man can recognize your features; God knows your mind. Man can anticipate your behavior; God knows your intent. Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and
of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart. So Google away - but remember …. God really knows! …. EVERYTHING! I pray the Lord blesses you today. Warmly, in His love and life, Roland Scroggins © 2007
